Gallery updated with AMA 2017 photos

We try to get the photos up earlier each year, but it just doesn't seem to work out. Maybe they are more fun to view after the passage of time!

The photos from AMA 2017 are now up on the Gallery page.

If you have photos to contribute, please email the pictures or a link to

Prepare for cooler weather!

It looks like it will be very cool on the mountain this year!
High temperatures next week are expected to be in the mid 60s,
with lows in the 40s overnight.
Please prepare for cooler weather with light jackets, sweatshirts, hats, etc.
There is heat in all the dorms, but please make sure you have the bedding you need.
See you soon on the mountain!

Recreation that costs extra...

We want you to know about two recreation options that will be available at AMA 2015 for an extra cost.  If you know someone planning to attend "A Mountain Apart" this year, please spread the word so that they can be prepared if they want to participate in these activities.

Paintball - $15

On Tuesday afternoon some adventurous types will have the opportunity to hike up the hill to the paintball range for battle.  All equipment and protective gear is provided, as well as a supply of paintballs.  Bring extra clothes to get paint-smacked!

Trail Ride - $25

For those who meet the health requirements, there will be the option of a mountain trail ride on horseback Wednesday afternoon.  The Sacramento staff will provide an orientation and training, followed by an hour on the trail.  Ladies, there are no sidesaddles, so please bring a very full riding skirt if you want to participate.

Of course, there will also be archery, roller skating, pedal carts, paddle boats, wagon rides, a ping pong tournament, and lots more!

Don't forget our packing list, available on the Forms page to help you get ready for AMA 2015.

If you have any questions, please contact us at amountainapart@gmail.com.

AMA 2013 Camper Price

We are excited to announce the camper price for each young person staying in the dorms. We are extending the camp to 4 nights and 3 days. When you arrive on Monday, June 3rd, there will be food available in the dorm lobbies. This will be in place of the Monday supper. That way everyone will be able to eat at their convenience as we arrive at different times and get settled for the first service. Breakfast, Lunch, and Supper are included each day Tuesday thru Thursday, as well as lots of great recreation each day. We expect to see the return of Archery, Rifle Shooting, Paddle Boats, Roller Skating, Ping Pong Tournament, and lots more! Friday morning, June 7th, there will be breakfast burritos, fruit, and drinks in all the dorm lobby areas.
We are looking forward to a great move of the Holy Ghost a mountain apart! The youth camper price for 11 meals, 4 nights, and all recreation included will be $220. Ask anyone that has been...it is worth every penny! Look for forms and other prices posted later this week. Everyone, young and old, is invited and will be greatly blessed at "A Mountain Apart" 2013. If you have questions about special pricing arrangements or accommodations, please email amountainapart@gmail.com

Excited About AMA 2012

Right now we are sitting down to a perfect lunch of grilled chicken sandwiches. We enjoyed bacon, eggs, cinnamon roll, and fruit bar this morning. A salad bar is available at every lunch and dinner. We feast like kings at Sacramento campground!

We spent last evening in the cool beauty of Sacramento, New Mexico. Today we are finalizing plans and looking at new recreation options available, including remote control cars and boats, foosball, and pedal carts! Of course Archery and Roller Skating are always very popular, and will be again this year.

As we stepped into the quiet of the chapel memories of the presence of the Lord immediately filled my mind. We have had a very special connection with the Lord at "A Mountain Apart" these last two years. The moments of eternal import have been innumerable. God has responded in every service and prayer meeting to the spiritual hunger of His people.

We will drive down the mountain today with great anticipation for the camp that will begin in only 24 days. Please don't miss it! If at all possible, make your way to Sacramento, NM and a mountain apart with Jesus.
