Weather at AMA 2023

Dear AMA friends,

It looks like we will be enjoying some mountain rain showers next week! There is about a 50% chance of rain showers each day of camp this year. Please be prepared for cooler temperatures in Sacramento, NM, with highs around 70 degrees and lows around 50 degrees. Layers or light jackets may be desired. Umbrellas or rain ponchos might be useful as well, especially if you plan to participate in activities. Please note: all rooms/dorms have heaters that are still operational in June!

We will be heading up the mountain with great expectation of what the Lord will do at AMA 2023. Please help us pray for a great campmeeting move of the Holy Ghost!

Registration for AMA 2023 closing soon

Dear AMA friends,

We are praying and seeking the Lord for His work to be done among us at A Mountain Apart 2023. Next Wednesday, May 17th, is the registration deadline. If you or someone you know is planning to come to AMA and has not yet registered, please help us spread the word about registering online before next Wednesday. At this time, anyone registering should register for Ayers-Laity dorms. There is plenty of room for youth campers and families. Even if you are not sending payment yet, we need you to register as soon as possible.

Also, if you have registered but are NOT coming to camp, we need to know. This is all to help us get accurate counts to the campground for the sake of meal planning and recreation staff.

Thank you for all your timely registration information. We will be in contact over the next couple of weeks if there are questions or clarifications about your registration or lodging.

Please help us pray for a might move of the Holy Ghost on the mountain this year!

Updates on AMA 2023

 Dear AMA Friends,

If you are still planning to register for AMA 2023, please note that Forrest Lodge, Aspen Lodge, and Family Life Center are FULL and have waiting lists for changes/cancellations. Please help us pray for the blessings of the Lord on A Mountain Apart 2023!

There is still room at AMA 2023. You may register for Ayers-Laity rooms, RV space, or even tent camping (shower facilities are available).

The Ayers-Laity dorms can accommodate adults and families. The youth campers at AMA occupy one wing in each of these dorms. Adults and families staying in Ayers-Laity will NOT be in the same halls as the youth campers. Each wing can be closed off and has its own doors and staircases for entry/exit.

Each family unit has their own private room and share a Men's/Women's restroom facility with a few other family groups in the same wing. The restroom facilities are in each wing, just a few doors down from any sleeping room. Each restroom has several sinks, toilet stalls, and shower nooks.

Please contact us with further questions at aMountainApart@gmail.com or 505-573-1589.

We are excited about a great time of spiritual renewal at AMA 2023. Important information for your planning purposes:

  • Camp will begin with Monday evening dinner and conclude with Thursday morning breakfast.
  • Each youth camper staying in the youth dorm will be required to register separately from their family and pay the youth camper price of $260 (This is a new requirement of the campground). National Forest is closed, Camp is OPEN

Dear AMA Friends,

As you may be aware, wildfires have devastated national forests in New Mexico this year. As a preventive measure the US Forest service is closing our national forests for the next few months.

Sacramento Camp is still OPEN. It is surrounded by Lincoln National Forest, but it is privately owned and operated. All state and county roads leading to the campground will remain open as well. We look forward to a great time in the Lord on the mountain next month.

AMA 2022 Registration closing early

Dear AMA friends,

If you have not yet made contact about registration for AMA 2022, please email amountainapart@gmail.com to inquire about space.

The only lodging still available is in Laity dorm, with private sleeping rooms and shared bathroom facilities in each wing.

There are also RV spaces still available.

Due to the limited space and the need to verify all registrations and lodging assignments, registration for AMA 2022 will close on Friday, May 13th. Please make contact by Friday if you have not already registered and sent payment.

If you have already registered, you have a room! If you were on a waiting list for a specific dorm, we will verify your lodging by email during the week of May 23rd.

See you on the mountain soon!

Clarification about Ayers/Laity dorms

Dear AMA friends,

As the lodges quickly fill up on the mountain in Sacramento, NM, please be aware that there is still space at AMA 2022.

We want to clarify the lodging in Ayers/Laity. Each of these lodges can sleep over 100 people in separate rooms of 5 or 6 beds each. Adults and families staying in Ayers/Laity will NOT be in the same halls as the youth campers.

The youth campers at AMA occupy only one wing in each of these dorms. Each wing can be closed off and has its own doors and staircases for entry/exit.

The rest of these Ayers/Laity rooms are for adults and families. Each family unit has their own room and share a Men's/Women's restroom facility with a few other family groups in the same wing. The restroom facilities are in each wing, just a few doors down from any sleeping room. Each restroom has several sinks, toilet stalls, and shower nooks.

We hope this might clarify the situation for adults and families staying in Ayers/Laity lodge. Please contact us with further questions at aMountainApart@gmail.com or 505-573-1589.

Some Lodges FULL for AMA 2022

Dear AMA Friends,

If you are still planning to register for AMA 2022, please note that Forrest Lodge, Aspen Lodge, and Family Life Center are FULL and have waiting lists for changes/cancellations.

There is still room at AMA 2022! You may register for Ayers rooms, RV space, or even tent camping (shower facilities are available). In Ayers, each family unit has their own room in a separate wing from the youth campers. Men's/Women's restroom facilities are conveniently located in each hall.

Please help us pray for the blessings of the Lord on AMA 2022.

Registration clarification - AMA 2022

There has been some confusion about how to register youth campers (age 12 - 30, single, never married).

If a youth camper is attending WITH immediate family members, they can be included in the lodging and meal numbers WITH their family. They are still welcome to bunk in the youth dorms (and should bring their bedding for that purpose). They do not need a separate registration.

If a youth camper is attending WITHOUT immediate family members (or is no longer a dependent), they should register for Ayers dorm (one person) and their total cost, including meals, will be $230.

We hope this helps clarify. Please email with questions: aMountainApart@gmail.com or call 505-573-1589.

Info for AMA 2021

"A Mountain Apart" 2021 is just around the corner. We anticipate a great work of the Holy Ghost as we gather in the mountains starting Monday, June 7. Here are a few details we would like to share to help you prepare for campmeeting next week:

  • Temperatures: It looks like we will have beautiful weather, with high temps in the 80s and lows in the 50s. The campground is at high elevation, so you can sunburn without feeling hot. Please consider hats, sunscreen, and how to stay hydrated with a refillable water bottle. Many people find that they want a light jacket for the cool nights.
  • Bedding in dorms: Please remember that you must bring your bedding and towels for all dorms except Forrest Lodge. You may want to bring an extra layer of some kind to go between the vinyl mattress and your bedding.
  • Forrest Lodge is not providing blankets/comforters this year, so please bring your own. All other pillows, linens, and towels are provided in Forrest Lodge.
  • The campground serves three FULL meals per day, but if you would like something from the Snack Bar after evening service you would need some extra cash.
  • The only extra charge for recreation options is the Trail Ride on horseback. The cost is $25 and you can register on Monday at the Welcome Center.
  • All of NM is currently in the Turquoise level of the state re-opening plan. The official mask policy in NM currently is: "Masks are recommended indoors unless you are fully vaccinated." The campground will have signs posted, but the staff will not be enforcing any mask mandate.
  • We have included a Packing List on the Forms page to assist your preparation for camp.

  • If you have not yet completed the Camp Waiver/release forms for the Sacramento campground either in print or online, please follow  this link  to complete the forms online.
As always, please contact us with questions: aMountainApart@gmail.com

Latest news on AMA and dorms

Thank you for praying!

Otero County, NM (which includes Sacramento) has gone into a less restrictive category with the NM covid regulations and is likely to change to the least restrictive category next week. This will allow 100% occupancy of the dorms! We recently made a planning visit to the campground and they are posting and abiding by all mask rules among the staff but are leaving those choices to each individual guest.

This post is to inform you that Forrest Lodge and Aspen Lodge are FULL.

You may still indicate that you would like to be on a waiting list for those dorms, but please register for Ayers dorm if you have not already sent your money and registration forms.

If you are planning to come to AMA but have not sent money or registration forms yet, please contact us by email: amountainapart@gmail.com

We are looking forward to seeing God's people "a mountain apart" to pray and seek the Lord. We are confident and so thankful that He will meet us there.

Update on AMA 2021 room occupants

We have received an update that we can now put non-related guests in the same dorm room.

Please continue to register all related persons together on a family form and make note of youth campers who would like to stay in youth dorms.

If you would like to share a room with someone not related to you, that is now allowed. Please complete a Family/Adult registration form for each family group or individual and make note of the people who will plan to stay together.

When a dorm is full according to current occupancy limits, we will continue to take registrations for the waiting list. If occupancy limits change, we will then be able to place people from the waiting list in the desired dorm. You will have a place to stay regardless!

Don't forget to complete the Camp Waiver for each person 18 and older. Minor children can be listed on a Camp Waiver together with a parent or parent signatures.

Please contact with questions: amountainapart@gmail.com

In response to questions...

Dear AMA friends,

We know there are many questions about the lodging and activity restrictions at the Sacramento campground. Please understand that these regulations are likely to change in the next couple months. Each county is given a rating update every two weeks and the rating system is being revised this month as more than one third of NM residents have been vaccinated against COVID-19. The Sacramento campground staff have committed to work with us to provide the best camp experience possible under whatever guidelines are in effect when we arrive in June.

We simply cannot predict what the lodging rules will be in June, therefore, the most effective way to register for AMA at this time is by family units. As we get closer to camp we will be able to make more informed decisions about dorm placement for teens and young adults. The goal is to have a registration process that can be flexible as things change.

We hope this helps answer some questions and alleviate some concerns. We are looking forward to a great time on the mountain with God's people!

Feel free to send questions to amountainapart@gmail.com or call 505-573-1589

AMA 2021 Forms and info

The forms and information for AMA 2021 are now posted on the Forms page!

Please note: Due to NM Department of Health regulations currently in place, there are some changes to campground operations and the registration forms and process. Please read all forms carefully and reach out with questions: amountainapart@gmail.com

Please help us pray that regulations on campground operations will continue to ease as we get closer to June!

We are determined to meet for "A Mountain Apart" 2021 and they are determined to accommodate us one way or another. The Lord has great things in store!

AMA 2021 info update

 Dear AMA Friends,

Thank you for your patience as we prepare for AMA 2021. We know that many people are looking forward to this year and we apologize that there has been some delay in getting complete information. We are working closely with the Sacramento campground and things are looking good! Registration forms will be on this blog by March 30. If you would like us to email the registration forms to you, please send us a message: amountainapart@gmail.com

Due to current NM DOH regulations, guests can stay only with members of their immediate family. Please plan to pay registration fees that include all members of an immediate family in the same lodging.

Please do not send any payment until registration forms are completed after March 30th.

Again, thank you for your patience. All info and registration forms will be posted here by March 30. Please contact us with further questions: amountainapart@gmail.com

AMA 2018 - Apostolic!

We are thankful for a campmeeting that was truly Apostolic in prayer, worship, preaching, and response. At least 5 souls were filled with the Holy Ghost for the first time, new commitments were made, and many lives were changed.  We were challenged to be more like Jesus, to wage war in the Spirit, and to reach the lost. Our souls rejoiced in the presence of the Lord and the fellowship of His people.  To those who made it to the mountain this year: Thank you for making it possible and lending your strength of purpose and desire to the success of A Mountain Apart 2018.

If you ordered a CD set, it will be in the mail within the next two weeks. Ministry will receive a complimentary copy.

If you may have lost something at the campground, please email us and we will attempt to recover it: aMountainApart@gmail.com

If you need to complete a payment for registration, CDs, Snack Bar, or recreation, please email us or send payment to:

Closer to Jesus...

We have returned to our respective homes from "A Mountain Apart" 2016, but we will never be the same.  We have been challenged, inspired, and commissioned to draw closer to the Lord, know him better than ever, and share His glorious Gospel with the world.

Hearts were changed, miracles occurred, and several souls received the baptism of the Holy Ghost for the first time, speaking with other tongues as the Spirit gave the utterance.

Thank you, Bishop David L. Abbott and Rev. Michael Alexander, for delivering the Word of the Lord with passion and conviction.  Thank you, every young person, for coming with spiritual desire.  Thank you, adults and families, for joining and encouraging prayer, worship, and response.  Thank you, pastors and ministry, for believing and supporting the vision of "A Mountain Apart".

Thank you, Jesus, for your love, your favor, and your awesome presence in our midst.

CDs from AMA 2015

There have been a couple cases where a CD from AMA 2015 does not seem to be working.  First, you might try a different CD player just in case.  If that does not work, please let us know so we can get you another copy of that CD right away!

Also, we did not have opportunity at camp to let you know that the CD of Music and Singing did not format correctly on the last night of camp and would not finalize so that copies could be made.  That CD also included the Wednesday morning devotion from Bro. Fleming about the "Water & Spirit" Bible study.  We apologize for that malfunction.

If you would like to order copies of the CDs from any year of "A Mountain Apart" Apostolic Youth Camp, or if you have a CD that is not working correctly, please contact us at amountainapart@gmail.com.

AMA 2015 was mightily blessed!

"A Mountain Apart" 2015 was one to remember. Many attendees faced difficulties ranging from sickness to vehicle breakdowns, and on the mountain it seemed that many things went wrong, including our first broken bone at AMA!  The blessing of the Lord was special and powerful in every meeting, and the fellowship of God's people was uniquely refreshing.

Thank you, Brother Waldrep and Brother Wilkins, for hearing from the Lord and passing it on to us!  We heard some amazing preaching and teaching.  Many said they will never forget the messages.  For copies of the CD's, please email amountainapart@gmail.com.

To all who attended: THANK YOU for lending your support to the mission of

"A Mountain Apart".  Lives have been blessed and changed for the better!

Recreation that costs extra...

We want you to know about two recreation options that will be available at AMA 2015 for an extra cost.  If you know someone planning to attend "A Mountain Apart" this year, please spread the word so that they can be prepared if they want to participate in these activities.

Paintball - $15

On Tuesday afternoon some adventurous types will have the opportunity to hike up the hill to the paintball range for battle.  All equipment and protective gear is provided, as well as a supply of paintballs.  Bring extra clothes to get paint-smacked!

Trail Ride - $25

For those who meet the health requirements, there will be the option of a mountain trail ride on horseback Wednesday afternoon.  The Sacramento staff will provide an orientation and training, followed by an hour on the trail.  Ladies, there are no sidesaddles, so please bring a very full riding skirt if you want to participate.

Of course, there will also be archery, roller skating, pedal carts, paddle boats, wagon rides, a ping pong tournament, and lots more!

Don't forget our packing list, available on the Forms page to help you get ready for AMA 2015.
